phpE-mail

phpE-mail is an almost zero config application which allows your web site users to send emails marketing your site or product to their friends or colleagues without having to leave your web site.

Viral Marketing

As such phpE-mail should be considered a viral marketing tool, like a virus any of your web site users could "spread" your message to someone they know. In my opinion nothing is better than a personal recommendation. This application can easily be incorporated into your existing web site, and start getting real people to start marketing your site/product for you to other real people.

I incorporated the script very successfully into a camping and holiday cottage web site, the script is used many, many times by users sending their partners and friends information about the site and has lead to a noticeable increase on booking through the site.

Free Download

phpE-mail is free to download and use, installation instructions are included in the .zip file. All you require is a web site (of course) a web server that runs php v4 or above. Specifically the PHP version needs access to either sendmail or exim for example, most commercial hosting I have come across has these features enabled by default.

phpE-mail consists of only 3 files which need to be uploaded to your web server and a few lines of code that need to be placed in each web page you publish. I have never had to alter any of the code within the scripts to allow installation to work successfully.
